Federico Bruno

Citizenship, Education and Democracy

He is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Milan. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Studies from the University of Milan, with a thesis on the role of ordoliberalism in the Euro crisis. Currently, his research focuses on social rights and European social citizenship.

His research interests concern comparative welfare systems and political economy, particularly social and labour policies. In particular, his research project concerns the social policy trajectories of European welfare states to mitigate the adverse effects of technological change on workers.

His research interests include comparative welfare state analysis, labour market policies and the politics of EU social policy, which he addresses through both quantitative and qualitative methods. More recently, he has been studying the social consequences of the green transition and the provision of occupational welfare in Italy.
