Marcello Natili
Welfare, Sustainability and Eco-Social PoliciesMarcello Natili is assistant professor of Political Science at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milano, and a member of the European Social Policy Network (ESPN). He sits at the scientific board of the International Observatory on Social Cohesion and Inclusion (OCIS). Since 2020, he is involved in the research project SOLID (Policy Crisis and Crisis Politics, Sovereignty, Solidarity and Identity in the EU post 2008), supervised by Professor Maurizio Ferrera, Hanspeter Kriesi and Waltraud Schelkle.
His research interests are in the field of comparative welfare states, and include labour market and social inclusion policies, eco-social policy and politics, the politics of EU integration. Among his recent publications, the book ‘The Politics of Minimum Income. Explaining Path Departure and Policy Reversal in the Age of Austerity’ (Palgrave MacMillan, 2019) and articles appeared in journals such as Contemporary Politics, European Societies, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of European Social Policy, Journal of Social Policy, Social Policy & Administration.
